H-F star Kevin Dillard talks about why he chose Southern Illinois…

Dillard’s chose the Salukis over Dayton and Minnesota.

“Dayton had offered me, but I didn’t feel like waiting around for Minnesota,” Dillard said. “Lowery’s new contract played a part in my decision too. It looks like he could stay around to be my coach all four years, even though he’s really on the rise.”

SIU was the first school to begin recruiting Dillard.

“That meant a lot to me,” Dillard said. “They were there from the beginning. I watched them play a lot this year, it felt like every time I turned the television on they were there.”
