While the Huntley football game at Jacobs tonight was saved when the District 158

teachers’ strike ended Wednesday, several other sports weren’t as lucky.

The Red Raiders’ soccer team likely suffered its first loss in what was

supposed to be the FVC Fox opener against Grayslake Central Tuesday.

It was one of seven varsity contests that were probably forfeited that day.

Several other lower-level games were canceled during the strike.
