A suggestion for Mount Carmel

Upon my visit to Mount Carmel Friday night to see Fenwick in a Catholic League boys basketball showdown, I wandered into the hallway behind the team’s benches and found a nice display dedicated to the school’s most famous athlete.

The only problem is that this hallway does not have regular foot traffic flowing through and is rarely seen by basketball fans catching the game inside the rest of the Cacciatore Center at the school’s Hyde Park campus. With a beautiful foyer just outside the fieldhouse, which looks like it doubles as a school cafeteria, I would love to see the display case moved to a more prominent area closer to the entrance of the Convocation Center. Just a thought with more future students arriving at the school who may not be aware of the athletic feats of Donovan McNabb.
