THE SKINNY

Host Bolingbrook put up 21 points in the first quarter and 27 in the second quarter to put the SouthWest Suburban Blue opener out of reach. Six different players scored to give the Raiders their 48-0 halftime lead.

TURNING POINT

After a 55-yard touchdown run by quarterback Quincy Woods on the game’s first possession, Bolingbrook (3-0, 1-0) recovered a fumble on the ensuing kickoff and went ahead 14-0 four plays later on Mike Valentine’s 2-yard plunge.

THE STAR

Bolingbrook’s defense, led by the front of Eli Carbajal, Bernard Flowers, Micah Dew-Treadway and Max Pleasant, and linebackers C.J. Clark, Julian Huff and T.J. Lee.

Jaden Huff had touchdown runs of six and eight yards and Dariel Greer scored from 17 yards out. Jacob Huff blocked a punt and recovered it for a touchdown.
