P.J. Clarke’s owner Bobby Hitz (left) welcomes Jon Lovitz to the Gold Coast eatery.

While in town for his standup gigs at the Improv comedy club in Schaumburg, funny man Jon Lovitz dropped by Bobby Hitz’s P.J. Clarke’s on North State for a bite of lunch. While greeting fans he noticed a restaurant patron pull up in a brand new 2014 Corvette.

Car lover Lovitz didn’t have to work to hard to convince the owner to let him take the ‘Vette for a spin. After a very brief conversation, the man tossed Jon his keys and off he drove for a quick drive through the Gold Coast neighborhood.

†The other night Bears QB Jay Cutler and his wife Kristen Cavallari dined at Japonais by Morimoto, enjoying light bites, as they both sipped some “bubbly” — Kristen drank champagne, while her hubby had a beer.
