Police: Man tried to lure girl into truck, exposed himself on Southwest Side

Police are looking for a man who exposed himself and tried to lure a girl into his truck Tuesday afternoon in the West Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The girl was with her grandmother about 3:30 p.m. in the 3800 block of West Marquette Road, when the man attempted to lure her into a black four-door pickup truck, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The man parked in the rear of the home and walked to the rear gate, where he removed his clothing and exposed himself, police said.

Police said he left when the grandmother yelled and asked a neighbor to call the police.

The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic man, between 35 and 40 years old, standing between 5-foot-8 and 6-feet, weighing between 185 and 195 pounds, with a goatee and reddish cheeks, police said. The truck was possibly a Ford F-150.
