Boy, 16, shot in Rogers Park

A teenage boy was shot Wednesday evening in the Rogers Park neighborhood on the North Side.

The boy, 16, was standing outside about 5:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of West Birchwood, when two people crossed the street nearby and fired shots, police said.

He was shot in the left hand and taken in good condition to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, police said.
