WASHINGTON–President Barack Obama on Friday celebrates the 20th anniversary of the AmeriCorps national service program and heads to Baltimore to fundraise for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.

DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FOR

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2014

In the morning, the President and Vice President will receive the Presidential Daily Briefing in the Oval Office. This meeting is closed press.

Later in the morning, the President will deliver remarks at an AmeriCorps Pledge ceremony on the South Lawn to mark the 20th anniversary of the national service program. Joining him will be President Clinton, who established the program and swore in the first class in 1994. The President’s remarks are open press.

In the afternoon, the President will travel to Baltimore, Maryland. The departure from the South Lawn is open press and there will be travel pool coverage of the President’s arrival in Baltimore. Following his arrival, the President will visit and tour Fort McHenry. There will be travel pool coverage of the tour.

In the evening, the President will attend a DSCC event at a private residence in Baltimore, Maryland. There will be print pool coverage for remarks only. Following this event, the President will depart Baltimore en route Washington, DC. There will be travel pool coverage of the President’s departure and his arrival on the South Lawn will be open press.
