Man shot, seriously wounded in Calumet Heights

A man was shot and seriously wounded Saturday afternoon in the Calumet Heights neighborhood on the South Side.

The 18-year-old man was shot “multiple” times in the leg about 5:45 p.m. in the 9200 block of South Clyde, said police News Affairs Officer Bari Lemmon.

He was taken in serious condition to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Lemmon said.

The man was found unresponsive in an alley in the 10700 block of South Lowe Avenue, police said.
