Just hours after Rihanna took to the Twittersphere to tell CBS where to go for pulling her song last week from NFL Thursday Night Football, the network has officially announced it will not be using the song. Period.
The Hollywoodreporter.com reports:
Beginning this Thursday, we will be moving in a different direction with some elements of our Thursday Night Football open, the network’s sports division said in a statement. We will be using our newly created Thursday Night Football theme music to open our game broadcast.

The site futher adds: The Don Cheadle voiceover will still be a part of the Thursday Night Football opening.
