We’ve seen some wacky and hilarious campaign ads during this election cycle, not only in Illinois, but also across the nation.

There was that time Gov. Pat Quinn’s campaign put out an ad comparing Bruce Rauner to Mr. Burns on “The Simpsons” — only to have it yanked on copyright grounds.

A Rauner ad gives ‘Quinnocchio’ a starring role. And nationally, we’ve seen guns, a pooping parrot and some alligator wrestling.

But it’s hard to compete with the latest entry. The parody ad is titled “Pat Quinn, Doing the Job He’s Paid to Do” and has some great lines.

When talking about integrity, the ad states “Pat Quinn is a man of his word. When he was elected governor, he stayed governor.”

And on fiscal responsibility, it points out that when contractors don’t finish a job, “Pat Quinn doesn’t pay them for a job they didn’t do.” And, he’ll “give them a poor review on Angie’s List.”

But the funniest line is about his time as hall monitor in grade school.
