Michele Bachmann shows too much skin on House floor

One problem was exposed Wednesday when Michele Bachmann went to the House floor to preside over the chamber — she was showing too much skin.

Roll Call reports the Minnesota Republican was violating the dress code, which prohibits bare shoulders on the House floor.

“I was just told that I needed to have a jacket and it was no problem,” Bachmann told Roll Call. “I called the staff and said grab one — I keep an extra one in my office — and they ran it over lickety-split.”

While she was waiting to cover up, Rep. Steve Daines, R-Montana, took over as presiding officer.

Bachmann’s staff brought over two choices: a black and white blazer, and she went with black.

“I just thought this would look the more professional,” she said.
