One man was killed and a teenage boy was wounded in a Belmont Cragin neighborhood shooting Wednesday night on the Northwest Side.

The pair were standing on the sidewalk about 10:50 p.m. in the 5000 block of West Wrightwood when shots rang out, police said.

Justin Marcado, 19, was shot in the abdomen and taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where he died at 1:04 a.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. Marcado lived on the block where he was shot.

The 17-year-old boy suffered multiple gunshot wounds to both legs and was also taken to Illinois Masonic, where his condition had stabilized, police said.

Police said both the man and the teen were documented gang members.
