Two men and a woman are facing charges after they conspired to steal firearms, cell phones and other items during a home invasion in the North Center neighborhood Tuesday evening, according to police.
Gary Wallace, 21, of the 2300 block of North Kedzie; Melvin Wilson, 20, of the 0-100 block of North Lavergne; and Bryna Wolowic, 20, of the 700 block of Sun Lake Road in Lake Villa are each charged with two counts of home invasion with a firearm, according to Chicago Police.
A 20-year-old man heard a knock at his door in the 1800 block of West Belmont about 6 p.m. Tuesday and two men, one armed, forced their way into his apartment, police said.
They ran from the apartment after taking several firearms, electronics, cell phones and cash.
Someone spotted Wilson at the Montrose CTA station, and officers chased and took him into custody. A few minutes later, Wallace was also taken into custody, police said.
Police said Wolowic knew the victim and planned the robbery, but did not take part.
All of the stolen items were recovered, and no one was hurt, police said. All three suspects are scheduled to appear in bond court Thursday.
