Archer Daniels Midland: Todd Werpy, senior vice president of research and development, received the American Chemical Society Affordable Green Chemistry award for his work in producing bio-based propylene glycol economically on a commercial scale.

Clifford Law Offices: The law firm named Henry R. Simmons managing partner. Simmons was a Cook County Circuit Court judge for 19 years until he retired in 2011 and became a certified mediator with ADR Systems of America. Thomas K. Prindable, who served as managing partner for 20 years, will become senior partner at the firm.

Cossette Chicago: Chuck Rachford was named executive creative director, from senior vice president and group creative at DDB Chicago.

Gozdecki, Del Giudice, Americus, Farkas & Brocato: Joseph B. Brocato to name partner, from partner with Pedersen & Houpt.

MB Financial: Donald J. Gibson Jr. joined as general counsel. He was most recently partner at McGuireWoods, where he chaired the firm’s community banking industry team.

Missner Group: Leonard Corso, most recently of Hanna Design Group, joined as project superintendent.

Mueller: Robert E. Cronin has joined the CPA and management consulting firm as director of the business valuation group, from partner and head of the business valuation practice at Fort Dearborn Partners.

Silver Cross Hospital: Five physicians have joined the medical staff: psychiatry/neurology and internal medicine physician Joseph Beck, whose office is in Orland Park; pulmonary medicine and internal medicine physician Diana Doeing, who works at Midwest Respiratory in New Lenox; pediatrics physician Nisha Kapadia, whose office is located with the Lurie Children’s Outpatient Clinic in New Lenox; podiatric surgery physician Bela Pandit, who practices at the Pandit Foot & Ankle Clinic in New Lenox; and Mohammad Sami, psychiatry/neurology physician, whose office is in Bolingbrook.

Wight & Co.: The architecture firm promoted John Clinnin to vice president and director of transportation and infrastructure, from manager of construction engineering. Wight also added two resident engineers: Dirk Peterson, formerly of Walsh Construction, and Jeff Kiedaisch, of Cotter Engineering.
