Marcus LoVett, one of the top ranked point guards in the national class of 2015, is transferring to Morgan Park.

According to Mac Irvin Fire club coach Mike Irvin, LoVett’s transfer will be official on Monday.

“He could be a star,” said Irvin. “He’s like an Imari Sawyer-type.”

LoVett, a 6-0 senior, previously played at San Gabriel Academy in San Gabriel, California.

Scout.com ranks LoVett 88th overall in the national class of 2015 and 13th at the point guard position. He has offers from San Diego State and UC Irvine and interest from Indiana, Arizona and Oregon State.
