WASHINGTON — The Illinois 10th congressional district rivals, Rep. Brad Schneider, D-Ill., and former Rep. Bob Dold, R-Ill., appear at an election 2014 event on Tuesday evening hosted by the Stevenson High School Political Action Club and the Mikva Challenge. The event runs from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and features other candidates.

Stevenson High School is in Lincolnshire, a Lake County suburb in the heart of Illinois 10 (and a suburb I covered in my first newspaper job, at the Libertyville Independent-Register.)

This is not a debate. Still, this event gives voters a change to hear from Dold and Schneider in what is the biggest Chicago area congressional contest.

The format, per Stevenson: “Political Action Club members will moderate a candidate forum inside the PAC, where candidates and campaigns will get an opportunity to speak directly to students and community members, and to answer student questions written by the Political Action Club and submitted via #MikvaForum.”
