Woman shot in West Englewood

A woman was shot Tuesday night in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The 44-year-old woman was standing on the front porch of a residence in the 7200 block of South Marshfield when she was shot in the abdomen at 8:45 p.m., police said.

She was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where her condition had stabilized.
