KENDALL KIRSCH/STEVENSON

The Stevenson High senior is no stranger when it comes to winning tennis matches. Her junior year, she teamed with then-senior Alexxis Kiven to win the doubles title at the IHSA state tournament. This year, she’s playing No. 1 singles for the Pats and crushed the competition in helping the team win the Prospect Power 8 tournament. She also has led the team to 13 consecutive team victories so far this fall in dual-meet competition.

FREDDIE RAMIREZ/ROUND LAKE

The junior is a scoring machine for the team that surely will represent the Prairie Division in the North Suburban Conference Championship Game. In a three-day period, the Panthers beat Lakes 2-1 and rallied from a three-goal halftime deficit to stun Antioch 4-3 and virtually wrap up the division title. Ramirez was a linchpin in the comeback, scoring the first goal against Lakes and getting the Panthers’ second and third goals in the comeback against Antioch.
