A man was shot during a robbery early Thursday in the Logan Square neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The man, 31, was walking with two other males in the 2400 block of North Drake when someone approached them and demanded their phones, police News Affairs Officer Ronald Gaines said.

When the victims refused, the robber opened fire, striking the man in the leg, before getting into a black car and driving away, Gaines said.

The man was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in good condition, Gaines said.
