SHARE Police warn of Armor Square armed robberies

Police issued an alert Thursday warning Armour Square residents of several recent armed robberies in the South Side neighborhood.

The suspects approach victims on the sidewalk, either pull out a weapon or use force, then steal property, according to the alert from Area Central detectives.

The robberies happened in:

—300 block of South Wells about 12:30 a.m. on Sept. 10;

—2800 block of South Wells about 10:50 p.m. on Sept. 16;

—300 block of West 23rd Street about 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 18;

—2300 block of South Wentworth about 12:25 a.m. on Sept. 21.
