(ST. CHARLES) A Geneva man faces at least 10 years in prison after he pleaded guilty Friday to making a video of a sexual act between himself and a minor.

Robert R. Schamne, 23, pleaded guilty to one count of child pornography and one count of criminal sexual assault, the Kane County state’s attorney’s office said.

Schamne videotaped the sex act with the victim, who was younger than 18, sometime between Nov. 18, 2012 and April 3, 2013, prosecutors said.

Schamne, of the 1000 block of Manchester Court, could face between 10 and 45 years in prison when he is sentenced Nov. 14, the state’s attorney’s office said. He must also register for life as a sexual offender.
