A man walked into a South Side hospital with a gunshot wound Saturday evening, and told police he was shot more than 15 hours earlier in the Gage Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The 22-year-old man walked into Mercy Hospital and Medical Center about 6:50 p.m. with a gunshot wound to the thigh, police said.

Police said he told authorities he was walking about 3 a.m. near West 58th and South Spaulding, when a vehicle drove past and someone inside fired shots.

He was listed in good condition, police said.
