ETNA GREEN, Ind. — Two people were killed in a fiery crash Saturday involving three vehicles in northern Indiana.

Kosciusko County, Indiana, Sheriff’s Sgt. Chad Hill said the coroner’s office was working to identify the victims of the crash at U.S. 30 and State Road 19 near Etna Green, about 35 miles southeast of South Bend. The bodies were so badly burned that dental records will likely be needed to identify the victims, Hill said.

He said the wreck happen around 3:15 p.m. Saturday when a semi-trailer struck the back of a pickup truck stopped at the intersection, causing it to crash into another pickup. The pickup truck in the middle — the one the two victims were in — then caught fire.
