Man shot in West Englewood

A man was shot in the West Englewood neighborhood Sunday night on the South Side.

The 18-year-old was standing on the sidewalk about 9:30 p.m. in the 2100 block of West 68th Place, when he heard shots ring out and felt pain, police said.

He was shot in the lower right leg and taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where his condition had stabilized, police said.

Police said the man is a documented gang member.
