A man was shot Monday afternoon in the Grand Boulevard neighborhood on the South Side.

The 23-year-old was in the 4100 block of South Michigan about 1:10 p.m. when he was shot in both legs, police said.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was unknown, police said.

A police source said the man is a documented gang member and a convicted felon.
