Amanda Bynes was arrested and booked for a DUI early Sunday morning.

Just when it looked like things were going in the right direction for Amanda Bynes — the actress and budding fashion designer was arrested and charged with an alleged DUI.

Bynes was pulled over by the California Highway Patrol at around 3 a.m. Sunday. According to E! News, Bynes was booked for a misdemeanor DUI after it was “determined she was under the influence of a controlled substance” while driving.

Bynes, 28, was held at the Van Nuys, California, police station, until bail was posted at 12:44 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

She is scheduled to be in court on these charges on Oct. 23.

In February, Bynes was placed on a three-year probation, due to her arrest in 2012 for another DUI.
