Overnight work on the Edens starts Tuesday

(NORTHFIELD) Construction starting Tuesday evening will close some lanes of the Edens Expressway (I-94) near north suburban Northfield overnights this week.

The nightly closures will be in effect from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at Willow Road, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation.

The work is part of an ongoing reconstruction project on Willow Road, IDOT said. Each night, crews will close one lane in each direction starting at 9 p.m., and close an additional lane each way starting at 11 p.m.

Motorists should expect delays and pay attention to signs and flaggers.
