As if Michael Strahan is not busy enough with his “Live with Kelly & Michael” and “Good Morning America” duties, the ex-NFL star is joining the cast of “Magic Mike XXL,” the sequel to the hit male stripper film.

Strahan, who also will be joined by “Community” star Donald Glover in the movie, revealed his casting on “Live” Monday, telling co-host Kelly Ripa he has been working out and joked about possibly having to be waxed for the role.

Among the other new cast members for the sequel will be Jada Pinkett Smith, Elizabeth Banks, Amber Heard and Andie MacDowell. Also back will be “Magic Mike” star Channing Tatum, who made the original film based on his own brief career as a male stripper in Florida when he was younger. Also returning will be Matt Bomer and Joe Manganiello.

Absent from the sequel will be “Magic Mike” star and newly minted Oscar winner, Matthew McConaughey.
