A Mariano’s grocery store is slated to open Tuesday in the Oak Lawn Stony Creek Promenade.

The chain, owned by Milwaukee-based Roundy’s Inc., is among the first retailers to open in the development near 111th Street and Cicero Avenue. For a limited time Mariano’s Oak Lawn will offer an open-air farmers market.

“Mariano’s makes it a priority to be an extension of the community,” said Bob Mariano, chairman and CEO of Roundy’s. “I think our shoppers will love the fresh produce from local farmers available at our open-air market.”

There are 27 Mariano’s stores in the Chicago area.
