A woman died more than a week after she was involved in a crash in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood on the South Side.

Earline Franklin, 56, was involved in a crash in the 7900 block of South State Street on Aug. 26, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Franklin, of the 7100 block of East End Avenue, died at Stroger Hospital at 4:21 p.m. Saturday, according to the medical examiner’s office.

An autopsy Sunday found she died of complications from bleeding and multiple blunt force injuries from the crash, according to the medical examiner’s office. Cirrhosis of the liver and heart disease were listed as contributing factors.

Her death was ruled an accident, according to the medical examiner’s office.

Police could not provide information on the crash.
