One Theatre World 2015, hosted by the Theatre School at DePaul University, and running May 7-9. 2015, today announced its lineup:

Master Class & Keynote: Punch Drunk The UK’s award-winning theatre company, known for transforming disused buildings into theatrical worlds for their audiences to explore, is sending their Enrichment Team for a special workshop and keynote. Master Class: Nathan Allen – Ethics for a Popular Theatre Nathan Allen, founder and Artistic Director of The House Theatre of Chicago, uses a combination of group discussion and (mild) theatre games to investigate the ancient social technologies at work in live theatrical storytelling and reconnect us to possible primal, social, and civic purposes to continue the art form in the digital age. Event: Pasek & Paul In addition to composing for NBC’s Smash and creating the original musicals Edges and Dogfight, Benj Pasek and Justin Paul are the Tony-nominated team behind the family-friendly musicals A Christmas Story and James & The Giant Peach. They will be on hand to play and share stories behind the music. Event: Suzan Zeder The acclaimed playwright (Mother Hicks, Wiley and the Hairy Man, Aviatrix) will join One Theatre World in a special conversation.

According to the TYA website: “Theatre for Young Audiences/USA (TYA/USA), is a national service organization whose mission is to promote the power of professional theater for young audiences through excellence, collaboration and innovation across cultural and international boundaries. One Theatre World- TYA/USA’s national festival which facilitates interchange among theaters and artists in order to promote quality theater for young people.”
