SHARE Police: Duo robbing women in Grand Boulevard

Police issued an alert after a pair of January robberies were reported in the Grand Boulevard neighborhood on the South Side.

The robberies happened in the evening, where two people approached female victims, told them they dropped something and, while distracted, announced a robbery, according to a statement from Chicago Police.

The robberies occurred:

  • Jan. 7 at 8 p.m. in the 4600 block of South Evans
  • Jan. 12 at 5 p.m. in the 700 block of East Bowen

One suspect is a 55- to 60-year-old black woman, about 5-foot-6, 130 to 170-pounds and has red or auburn hair, police said. The woman was last seen wearing a long, black mink-style coat and tan suit pants.

The other suspect is a 55- to 59-year-old man, standing about 5-foot-7, weighing 180-pounds with a dark complexion, police said.
