A man was injured in a South Shore drive-by shooting late Friday afternoon.
The 18-year-old was on the street about 4:45 p.m. in the 7800 block of South Coles when someone opened fire from a red vehicle, police News Affairs Officer Bari Lemmon said.
He took himself to South Shore Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, Lemmon said.
The move came hours before Bass was set to catch a ceremonial first pitch from Toronto LGBTQ+ activist leZlie Lee Kam.
