Police are warning residents about a pair of armed robberies involving a black SUV last month in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

In the reported robberies, a multiple armed suspects exited a black SUV, approached their victims and robbed them of their property, according to a community alert from Chicago Police.

The robberies were reported between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. in the 4900 block of West Madison on Christmas Day and in the 5000 block of West Adams on Dec. 26, police said.

Police said the vehicle might be either a black Chevrolet Trailblazer of a black GMC Envoy.

The suspects are described as two to three men between 20 and 22 years old, standing between 5-foot-9 and 5-foot-11, police said. They used a silver handgun.

A female suspect was involved in one of the robberies, police said.
