Former “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” actress Amber Benson, now an author, is headed to Chicago to sign copies of her newest fantasy book.

Benson, who played Willow’s spell-casting girlfriend Tara on the beloved WB series, has branched out into writing in recent years and is promoting her new title “The Witches of Echo Park,” about a woman who inherits her great-aunt’s place in a coven of witches.

She’ll be at Challengers, 1845 N. Western, from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday. Details: challengercomics.com.
