Bears’ Pernell McPhee, Matt Forte out: Alshon Jeffery in

ST. LOUIS — The Bears traveled Saturday without three veterans — Pernell McPhee, Matt Forte and Eddie Royal — who will not play Sunday against the Rams.

Wide receiver Alshon Jeffery will, however. Four days after injuring his groin in practice, he’ll try to become the first Bears receiver ever to post four-straight games with 100 or more receiving yards. Shea McClellin will return after suffering a knee injury in Kansas City, the fifth game of the season.

Safety Antrel Rolle, who was one of eight players listed as questionable Friday, will play. He injured his ankle in San Diego. With center Hroniss Grasu out again because of a neck injury, the Bears will start the same offensive line they did last week.

McPhee, whose knee injury the Bears have been monitoring the past few weeks, did not practice all week. Forte’s knee injury, suffered two weeks ago, requires at least another week of rehab. Forte said Friday he hoped to play.

Royal, who has a knee injury, was ruled out Friday.

Other Bears inactives include wide receiver Deonte Thompson, safety Harold Jones-Quartey and defensive lineman Ziggy Hood.

The Rams got better news than the Bears early Sunday: defensive end Robert Quinn will play.
