A 17-year-old boy was critically injured in a shooting Monday morning in the West Side Austin neighborhood.

The teenager was standing in the 600 block of North Laramie at 11:35 a.m. when he “heard shots and felt pain,” according to Chicago Police.

He was shot in the left side of the torso and was taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital, police said.
