Derrick Rose practiced without issue on Monday and is expected to be in the lineup when the Bulls take on the Trail Blazers Tuesday night in Portland.

The good news comes a day after Rose went through a full workout in Oakland and said he was aiming for Tuesday as his return date.

“I feel good,” Rose said Sunday, via ESPN. “My body was a little fatigued from just running around or just sitting down for a little time. Being able to run around today, and I had a great workout [Saturday] and I had another workout today after we got done practicing so I’m heading in the right direction.”

Rose missed two games after spraining his ankle during a 96-95 win over the Pacers last Monday at the United Center.

Chicago topped the Suns in Phoenix on Wednesday before falling to Golden State in Oakland on Friday.

Rose was in the midst of perhaps his best game of the season when he rolled his ankle during the fourth quarter. The veteran point guard had 23 points on 9-of-18 shooting, including 2-of-2 from 3-point range.

Rose hasn’t played in Portland since injuring his right knee in 2013.
