The man, 22, was standing outside in the 6000 block of South Archer about 5:40 a.m. when someone walked up and opened fire, according to Chicago Police. The shooter then ran away.

The man was shot in both hands and the groin and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where he was listed in serious condition, police said.
