A suspect was caught a few minutes after robbing a bank in the North Center neighborhood Tuesday morning, police said.

The suspect, a male of unknown age, walked into the bank in the 3900 block of North Damen about 10:15 a.m. and demanded cash from a teller while implying he had a firearm, police said.

The teller didn’t see a weapon, but complied and the suspect ran away with an undetermined amount of cash, police said.

He was arrested a “short distance away” by responding officers, police said.

No one was hurt during the robbery.
