A 17-year-old girl is in serious condition after a Wednesday afternoon shooting in the Morgan Park neighborhood.

The girl was shot in the chest about 4:15 p.m. in the 1300 block of West 111th Street, police said. The teen told police she heard shots ring out and then felt pain.

She was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where she was listed in serious condition, police said.
