SHARE Police warn of armed robberies in East Garfield Park, Near West Side

Police issued an alert after several recent armed robberies were reported in the East Garfield Park and Near West Side neighborhoods.

In each incident, two men approached a person, displayed a handgun and demanded property, according to an alert from Chicago Police.

The robberies occurred:

  • 5:50 a.m. March 6 in the 2200 block of West Jackson
  • 1 a.m. March 14 in the 3100 block of West Maypole
  • 1 a.m. March 17 in the 100 block of North Kedzie

The suspects are about 20 years old and drove a gray or silver vehicle, police said.
