A 43-year-old man was found shot to death on a sidewalk early Thursday in the Chatham neighborhood on the South Side.

Officers responding to a call of shots fired about 12:30 a.m. found Juan Warrior unresponsive with gunshot wounds to the side of the chest in the 8100 block of South Normal, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Warrior, of the 6500 block of South Wolcott, was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:49 a.m., authorities said.
