A 24-year-old manwas shot to death Thursday evening in the Humboldt Park neighborhood on the West Side.
About 8 p.m., Fabain Echevarriawas found unresponsive inside a vehicle in the 900 block of North Mozart, police said and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
Echevarria, who lived on the same street he was shot, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
A police source said the man was a documented gang member.
