A 23-year-old man was shot several times early Saturday in the 5200 block of North Spaulding on the Northwest Side.

It happened just before 3 a.m. less than a block north of North Park University, according to the police, who said the man was being treated at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.

The missing man’s body was found about 10:15 a.m., said fire spokesman Larry Langford. He was found not too far from the front door. “He must have been trying to get out.”
