Two men were killed and at least nine other people have been wounded in shootings across the city since Friday afternoon, officials said.

A man was shot to death Saturday afternoon in the Auburn Gresham neighborhood on the South Side.

About 12:30 p.m., officers responding to a call of shots fired in the 8800 block of South Wood found a man lying unresponsive on the rear porch of a home, police said.

The man, identified as 30-year-old Alexander Colon, had suffered a gunshot wound to the chest, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Colon, who lived on the same block as the shooting, was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:52 p.m., the medical examiner’s office said.

A police source said he was a documented gang member.

Friday afternoon, a 21-year-old man was killed in a drive-by shooting in the South Chicago neighborhood.

Terrell Foster was standing on the street about 4:30 p.m. in the 8100 block of South Houston when a gray SUV pulled up and someone shot him in the head, according to police and the medical examiner’s office.

Foster, who lived a block west in the 8000 block of South Exchange, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the medical examiner’s office.

The most recent nonfatal shooting left a man injured Saturday night in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

The man, 30, was walking in the 6100 block of South Rockwell about 10 p.m. when a male standing on the corner fired shots in his direction, police said. The shooter then ran away westbound.

The man was shot in the foot and taken to Holy Cross Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Less than an hour earlier, two men were shot in the West Garfield Park neighborhood.

The men, 19 and 20, were walking in the 4400 block of West Monroe about 9:20 p.m. when they heard gunfire and realized they had been shot, police said.

The 19-year-old man was shot in the arm and was taken to Stroger Hospital, while the 20-year-old was shot in the foot and took himself to Stroger, police said. Both of their conditions had stabilized.

A police source said the 19-year-old man is a documented gang member.

At least six other people have been wounded in shootings since 4:50 p.m. Friday, police said.

The two were outside about 4:20 a.m. in the 1300 block of South Throop Street when someone fired shots.
Officers responding to a shots fired call about 10 p.m. found the two in the 3800 block of West Ohio Street.
Officers responding to a person shot report found the man lying on a porch with multiple gunshot wounds.
One man, 34, was found in the 300 block of East Huron Street and died at a hospital. Another man later showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg.
The shooting happened about 1 a.m. in the 4800 block of West Iowa Street.
