SHARE Police: Boy, 15, shoots himself in the foot in Washington Park

A 15-year-old boy shot himself in the foot Monday morning in the Washington Park neighborhood on the South Side.

The boy suffered a graze wound to the foot about 9 a.m. in the 5800 block of South King Drive, police said.

He was taken in good condition to University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children’s Hospital, police said.

Police said the shooting was self-inflicted. It was not immediately known whether charges would be filed.
