A man who was shot to death Sunday evening in the Ravenswood neighborhood on the North Side has been identified.

The shooting happened about 6:30 p.m. in the 2200 block of West Winnemac, police said.

A witness saw 21-year-old Dushanti Hassell in an alley with several other males when gunshots were heard, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office. A red SUV was seen driving from the scene.

Hassell, of the 5700 block of North Kenmore, was shot in the head and taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 9:33 p.m., according to the medical examiner’s office.
