Jon Hamm — and his team — were able to keep the actor’s stay in rehab secret until he started doing press for the final episodes of “Mad Men,” which will begin airing next month.

In a statement from Hamm’s publicist, it was explained that “with the support of his longtime partner, Jennifer Westfeldt, Jon Hamm recently completed treatment for his struggle with alcohol addiction. They have asked for privacy and sensitivity going forward.”

Reportedly the actor checked himself into the famous Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, Connecticut. for a 30-day treatment program in February.

The actor has portrayed the hard-drinking advertising executive Don Draper on the critically lauded “Mad Men” since 2007. The series’ much-anticipated final run of six episodes will begin on AMC on April 5.
